To our dear friends,
The Knit Club closed its doors Saturday 19th March.
Ever since we announced our closure, we have been moved (often to tears) by the kind words and gestures from you all – I will miss you and this little shop so very much.
The Knit Club opened in 2011, I was 24 and had few expectations – just a lot of hope and a love of knitting. However, 5 years on, we have achieved so much because of your support and we cannot thank you all enough.
We have met some wonderful knitters/crocheters from all over the world, made some amazing friends for life, served countless cups of tea/slices of homemade cake and have spent many hours chatting with you all.
It has been an honour and privilege to be a part of the community in this way.
After the shop closes, I am looking to start the next stage of my life with my
fiancé Charlie (I’ve heard planning a wedding can be a full-time job)!
And I won’t be far from knitting, as I’ll be designing sustainable cashmere knitwear as Lou Dungate – do say hello if you are on Instagram too.
The Knit Club has been the most wonderful adventure, and one that I will never forget. You have all been a huge part of my life and please know that I’ll always feel very proud to have been a small part of yours.
With all my love and gratitude,
p.s. My dear mum Yoke would like to say a big thank you from the bottom of heart to everyone for making her smile whenever she was in this little shop!
